durhamlane’s Laura Quinn named GSA ‘Rising Star of 2020’

Earlier this month, The Global Sourcing Association (GSA) held the GSA UK Professional Awards 2020 in a special virtual ceremony. This year’s event saw the inclusion of new categories focused on corporate and partnership responses to the Covid-19 pandemic.
First winner of the evening was durhamlane Business Development Team Leader, Laura Quinn.
Laura joined durhamlane in October 2018 and, after demonstrating her exceptional sales and leadership skills, she was promoted to Team Leader in March 2020. She has since continued to generate outstanding results despite the unstable business climate.
“This award is a huge honour,” said Laura. “Working at durhamlane has taught me so much and I feel like I’ve really been given the opportunity to grow and develop as a professional. I’m so grateful that my achievements have been recognised by the GSA and I promise to live up to the title of ‘Rising Star’.”
Richard Lane, durhamlane Chief Executive Officer, said: “Laura has been tremendous to work with over the past few years. Her ability to manage multiple clients while continuing to have a positive influence on everyone around her – whether working from home or in the office – has made her a great addition to the durhamlane team.”
Kerry Hallard, CEO of the Global Sourcing Association UK, added: “Well deserved wins across the spectrum of the sourcing industry demonstrating the great talent in this space, but also showcasing the great work delivered by teams around the world. These were highly competitive awards again this year and, as such, I must also recognise the great work of all those individuals and organisations that made it to the shortlist.”
This award is the latest success in an exceptional year for durhamlane. Despite epidemic-related challenges, we have consistently won new clients, created new jobs and even achieved record revenue generation in October.
