This year we entered numerous awards to celebrate and showcase the work that we do at durhamlane. Here’s a recap of what we’ve been nominated for over the last few months, with a few award wins thrown in too!

This month (December) we were awarded the prestigious Engage B2B Awards for Best Use of Onboarding and Training. The Engage B2B Awards focus on organisational excellence in B2B Sales and Marketing.

The award entry focused on our new People Onboarding Programme, created by our People Onboarding Manager Becky Falla. Becky came up with a set of 13 key sales competencies, directly mapped to the first four weeks of onboarding and training. We have also created training scenarios via a sales coaching platform that has allowed us to automate key tasks, provide online feedback and create a library of best practice for new staff to access whilst they go through their onboarding journey.

In June, we won a GSA UK Award for Excellent in Partnership Collaboration for our work with Konica Minolta Business Solutions over the last three years. Now in its 19th year, the UK Global Sourcing Awards recognise and celebrate the efforts of companies who have demonstrated best practice in Strategic Sourcing.

Regular communication, collaboration and optimisation of activity led by both ourselves and Konica Minolta’s sales and marketing teams has led to such an outstanding partnership being awarded.

We were also shortlisted for Utilities Project of the Year at the GSA UK Awards for our work with Centrica Business Solutions. This award was judged based on its ability to deliver both initial and ongoing business value to the client, incorporating both best practice and continuous service innovation.

We also entered numerous industry awards with our ‘It’s slice to meet you’ marketing campaign, that we ran during the 2020 UEFA Euro Final, when we sent pizza boxes via direct mail to prospective businesses featuring information about durhamlane. We were shortlisted in the following:

  • Prolific North Marketing Awards for Best Small Budget Campaign, which recognised our boldness and imagination for this campaign which was established to win new business and generate sales.
  • B2B Marketing Awards for Best Use of Direct Mail, evidencing our use of bespoke mail, a personalised landing page and a 3021% ROI. The B2B Marketing Awards are the largest and most prestigious marketing awards in B2B, honouring the most innovative, creative, and forward-thinking marketers and their campaigns.
  • The Drum Awards for B2B for Best Direct Mail campaign. We were shortlisted for this award thanks to our innovative strategy and the design of our ‘pizza box’ campaign which captivated judges. Innovation and creativity, clear strategic thinking, effectiveness and tangible results were central criteria for this award.

Celebrating durhamlane’s people

Our Senior Marketing Manager Yasmin Wilkinson and Sales Manager James Middleton were also nominated for their work in the Insider North East Young Professionals 2022 awards as Young Marketing and Media Professional and Young Business Development Professional of the Year.

All our award wins and nominations are testament to dedication and hard work that the whole team at durhamlane put in to help make the company the huge success it is today.
